EXTENSION OF DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO   UNDERGRADUATE AND DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES – UPSA

Applications are invited from qualied applicants for admission to the Paper. In addition, the applicant must have had credit passes (Grade 6)  
under-listed undergraduate and diploma programmes for the  
or better in ve (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics  
and any Science subject at the GCE Ordinary (‘O’) Level.

Advanced Business Certicate Examinations (ABCE) Holders:  
Full diploma certicate (passes in any ve (5) subjects at the ABCE  
level). In addition, the applicant must have had credit passes in ve (5)  
subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science  
Ÿ Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Management or Social Studies in the GBCE or SSSCE or WASSCE.  
Ÿ Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations Management

DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES  
Ÿ Diploma in Accounting  
Post Secondary Teacher’s Certicate ‘A’/Diploma in Education  
Certicate awarded by University of Cape Coast.

Ÿ Diploma in Public Relations Management

Recognized Professional Qualications:  
At least complete Level One(1) of any of the following recognized  
professional qualications: ICSA, CIM, CIMA, ACCA, ICAG and  
CIB only.

Higher National Diploma (HND) with at most Second Class  
(Lower Division) awarded by NABPTEX in disciplines relevant to the  
programmes being offered by the University (i.e. Accounting,  
Secretaryship & Management Studies, Purchasing & Supply,  
Marketing, Statistics, etc). In addition, the applicant must have  
acquired a two-year post HND qualication working experience.

. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR VARIOUS LEVELS  
OF UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES  
Category F  
Applicants in possession of university/tertiary diploma with a Final  
Grade Point Average (FGPA) of at most 2.99 from any  
university/institution accredited by National Accreditation Board  
(NAB)in programmes relevant to the courses being offered by the  
University.

i) LEVEL 100  
West African Senior School Certicate Examination  
WASSCE) & Senior Secondary School Certicate  
(
Examination (SSSCE) / General Business Certicate of  
Examination (GBCE) Applicants.  
WASSCE and SSSCE/GBCE applicants must have at least credit passes Note2: Applicants who qualify under Categories C, D,E and F must, in  
i.e. grade A1-C6 and grade A-D respectively) in three core subjects addition have WASSCE/SSSCE/GBCE credit passes in three (3) core  
including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated  
subjects and two electives subjects or credit passes in ve (5) subjects  
Science/Social Studies in addition to any three elective subjects with including English Language, Mathematics and any Science subject at the

GCE’O’ Level. UPSA diploma students who will graduate in 2016 and have

Note 1: Applicants for level 100 undergraduate programmes, who will be

required to indicate their WASSCE index numbers and the subjects they Category A  
will be writing on the online application form.

Holders:  
ii) LEVEL 200  
Passes in any three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be  
Grade D or better) at the GCE Advanced Level plus a pass in General  
UNIVERSITY OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES, ACCRA – ADMISSIONS  
Category B  
Note 5: Applicants for Diploma programmes, who will be writing  
WASSCE in May /June 2014, are also eligible to apply. They will be  
required to indicate their WASSCE index numbers and the subjects they  
will be writing on the online application form.  
University /tertiary diploma applicants with FGPA of 3.0 in related  
programmes (i.e. Accounting, Public Administration, Management  
and Marketing) from any university accredited by the NAB.  
Category C  
(ii) SSSCE/GBCE applicants must have at least credit passes (i.e.  
grade A-D) in three core subjects including English Language,  
Mathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies in

Mathematics and any Science Subject at the GCE ‘O’ Level.  
UPSA diploma students who will graduate in 2016 and have met the above  
requirements may also apply.

. INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS  
(
Mature Applicants applying for admission must satisfy the following  
entry requirements:  
iv) Mature Applicants  
International applicants may be admitted on the basis of  
qualications from their home countries for which equivalence shall  
be determined by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) of Ghana  
and submitted to the University. Evidence of prociency in English  
Language will be required in the case of applicants from non-English  
speaking countries.

Attained a minimum age of twenty-ve (25) years by  
Tuesday, 31st May, 2016.  
Show proof of age with birth certicate which is at least ve

5) years old at the time of application.

addition to General Paper and selection interview.

All applications are to be strictly completed online i.e:  
Ÿ Log on to admissions.upsa.edu.gh to access the on-line  
application form.  
Ÿ Use the Online Serial Numbers (OSN) and the  
receipt number to start the application process.  
Note 4: Successful mature applicants would be placed at Level100.  
Applicants with exceptional abilities may however be admitted to Level  
2
00 depending on their entry qualications, outstanding performance at  
the mature entrance examinations and selection interview as well as  
demonstrable potential to cope with academic work at Level 200. HND  
and University diploma holders who do not meet the minimum  
requirements specied above may apply as mature applicants provided  
they have equally satised the requirements for mature applicants.  
Note 6: Please note that a change of programme after the submission  
of the application would not be possible.

which must be relevant to the applicant’s area of
